For this highly limited release, McCall separately finished Woodford Reserve bourbon, rye, and wheat whiskeys in fortified Madeira wine casks sourced from the Portuguese islands. To ensure the rich, oxidative notes of the Madeira casks didn't overpower the spirit, this complex blend was masterfully balanced by adding a portion of unfinished Kentucky straight wheat whiskey, elevating the liquid's natural fruit-forward and floral characteristics. Bottled at 45.2% ABV (90.4 Proof), it pours a beautiful chestnut color. The nose is inviting and deeply aromatic, offering dark cherries, brown sugar, and candied oranges dusted with clove, nutmeg, and a hint of cedar wood.
