The Story

Produced from Nebbiolo grown in the renowned hills of Barolo, this wine showcases the exceptional character of the outstanding 2016 vintage. Aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose petals, dried herbs, crushed stone, and licorice unfold into a structured palate with vibrant acidity, refined tannins, and remarkable depth. Elegant and age-worthy, it delivers a long, harmonious finish that reflects the classic pedigree of Barolo.

Food Pairing: Pairs best with braised beef, truffle risotto, osso buco, wild boar ragù, and aged Parmigiano Reggiano.

93 Points - James Suckling

A soft, fruity 2016 with crushed berries, such as strawberries, with a citrus undertone. It’s medium-to full-bodied with round tannins and a fine, polished finish. Very attractive now, but will age nicely.

93 Points - Wine Spectator

Elements of vanilla and spicy oak wrap around a core of pure cherry, strawberry and floral flavors in this red. It shows terrific balance and well-integrated tannins, ending in a juicy, fruit- and mineral-driven finish. Best from 2022 through 2042. 340 cases made, 162 cases imported.

89 Points - Wine Enthusiast

This opens with aromas of violet, espresso and tobacco leaf. On the linear palate, solid tannins support black plum, roasted coffee bean and clove. Drink 2023–2028.
