The 2019 Vineyard 29 Ceanda Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful and polished Napa Valley red blend sourced from estate vineyards in St. Helena. Aromas of black currant, cassis, cocoa powder, and violets lead into a full-bodied palate layered with black cherry, anise, fresh coffee grounds, dark chocolate, and savory spice. Richly concentrated yet remarkably fresh, it delivers refined tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Food Pairing: Grilled ribeye, dry-aged beef, lamb chops, braised short ribs, and aged hard cheeses.
95 Points - Jeb Dunnuck
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Ceanda comes all from St. Helena and is based on 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, and the balance Petit Verdot and Merlot. Aged 20 months in 75% new oak, it has a pure, layered, balanced, and full-bodied style as well as textbook notes of darker currants, tobacco leaf, new leather, and chocolate. Its oak is beautifully integrated, and again, the purity of fruit is remarkable. Drink it over the coming 15-20 years.
95 Points - Wine Enthusiast
This powerful wine is destined for a long life and increasing complexity. Made from selected vineyard blocks in three estate vineyards, it goes deep in black cherries, blueberries and blackberries that are amply spiced with wood smoke, cinnamon and espresso notes backed by full, fine-grained tannins. Best from 2028.
