The Story
A magnificent, robust, and beautifully mature Italian red wine hailing from the tiny, historical appellation of Biferno in Molise. Crafted from a traditional blend of 80% Montepulciano and 20% Aglianico grown in alluvial soils, this Riserva undergoes an extensive aging process of over 36 months in stainless steel and large 500-liter tonneau casks. It pours a dense, deep ruby red enriched with striking garnet reflections, unlocking an intense and ethereal bouquet of ripe wild cherries, plum confit, and crushed mountain herbs, seamlessly layered with warm nuances of sweet vanilla, cinnamon, and well-integrated oak. The palate is rich, velvety, and beautifully harmonious, balancing fine-grained, smooth tannins with a refreshing wave of natural acidity and a long, spice-kissed finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with roasted rosemary lamb chops, slow-cooked beef stews, rich wild boar ragù, or mature traditional cheeses like Pecorino and Piave.
