The Story
Part of an inspiring project dedicated to recovering and celebrating minor ancestral grape varieties indigenous to southeastern Spain, Teuladí Negre is crafted by Bodegas El Angosto in the hills of Ontinyent. Combining a unique field blend of Arco, Forcallat, and Bonicaire, the handpicked grapes undergo cold maceration before fermenting with indigenous yeasts. Aged for three months in 500-liter French oak barrels, it pours a vibrant cherry-red hue. The nose opens with a fresh, expressive bouquet of wild raspberries, sliced red plums, and watermelon, intricately layered with subtle sea breeze hints and dried Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, bright, and sleek, delivering a lively tension, round tannins, and a crisp, fruit-expressive finish.
Food Pairing: Highly versatile, making it an excellent companion for a classic tapas spread, grilled white meats, rich pasta dishes, or pan-seared fish.
