A magnificent, wild, and ethereal single-vineyard Tuscan red wine crafted from 100% Sangiovese. Fermented in cement tanks with whole clusters, it balances intense wild cherry, red currant, mint, and white pepper notes over a beautifully light, crunchy, and texturally elegant palate.
Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with rich pasta al ragù, grilled pork tenderloin, saltimbocca alla Romana, or medium-aged pecorino cheeses.

This is spiced and racy with aromas of ripe dark cherries, dried raspberries and hints of chocolate, dried orange peel and wet stones. Tense and juicy on the palate, with a medium body, crunchy tannins and a savory dried herb character at the end. I like the peppery and earthy complexity. It’s layered and characterful. Drink or hold.

With its elegant white wax capsule, the Tenuta di Carleone 2022 Il Guercio is partially made with feet-stomped Sangiovese (and up to 50% whole-cluster fruit) sourced from the village of Lamole, with its verdant vineyard landscapes and high elevations. This IGT red is balanced and bright with a lean consistency. The fruit tones are presented with good intensity and layered nuance. You get some of the bitter flavors from the skins (from extended maceration), red apple, wild herb, blue flower and crushed stone. Some 15,000 bottles were created.
