The Story

A magnificent, rare, and wonderfully expressive Northern Italian white wine crafted by Davide Laiolo at his family-owned Tenuta Bricco San Giorgio estate in Vinchio, nestled in the heart of Monferrato. Appropriately named "Biancoluna" (White Moon), this unconventional bottling showcases 100% Viognier—a varietal famously native to France's Rhône Valley that thrives beautifully along the sun-drenched, rolling UNESCO heritage hillsides of Piedmont. Hand-harvested with rigorous cluster thinning to ensure concentrated maturity, the fruit undergoes gentle pressing and is aged for four months in a combination of stainless steel tanks and traditional concrete vats to safeguard its natural fruit purity. It displays a luminous pale straw-yellow profile with golden highlights, bursting with an aromatic bouquet of ripe yellow peaches, fresh apricots, crisp apples, and delicate acacia blossoms. On the palate, it is full-bodied, soft, and gently textured, beautifully balancing its rich, rounded mouthfeel with a refreshing streak of citrus acidity that carries into a smooth, persistent finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with pan-seared scallops, chicken or rabbit in creamy lemon sauces, mild spicy Asian stir-fries, or a selection of fresh vegetables and medium-aged cheeses.
