The Story
A magnificent and beautifully expressive artisan red wine masterfully crafted by visionary winemaker Roberto Oliván in Rioja Alavesa. Reflecting the historical field-blend traditions of the region, this flagship eponymous bottling is a compelling blend of roughly 60% Tempranillo and 30% Garnacha, seamlessly interwoven with 10% native white grapes (primarily Viura) sourced from older bush vines grown on iron-rich red sandstone and marl soils. Spontaneously fermented with native yeasts and carefully matured in neutral oak foudres and concrete vats, it reveals an incredibly vibrant bouquet of fresh red berries, wild blackberries, and dark cherries, layered with aromatic nuances of crushed violet florals, sweet baking spices, hints of earthy forest floor, and a signature line of intense mineral freshness.
Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with grilled lamb cutlets, slow-roasted pork belly, traditional Spanish chorizo tapas, or artisanal boards of semi-cured sheep's milk cheeses.
