The Story
A magnificent and beautifully structured northern Italian red wine crafted by the historic Avanzi family from estate vineyards positioned along the sun-kissed brescian shores of Lake Garda. Driven by the rare, indigenous Groppello grape variety and rounded out with traditional additions of Marzemino, Barbera, and Sangiovese, it undergoes patient aging in select French oak barrels for 12 months followed by an additional six months in the bottle. It displays an elegant, ruby red profile bursting with a fragrant, complex bouquet of wild red berries, fresh pomegranate, violet petals, and warm baking spices, all resting on a medium-to-full body integrated with savory, finely chiseled tannins and a long, gracefully balanced finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with savory meat-stuffed pasta, slow-cooked beef stews, herb-crusted roasted meats, or a rich plate of aged alpine cheeses.
