Summer Dreams Super Chill Pinot Noir 2021 is an exceptionally bold, multi-layered, and deeply concentrated California red wine that beautifully exemplifies the intense, vineyard-driven personality of the West Sonoma Coast. Crafted by Jayson Woodbridge, the visionary behind Napa Valley's iconic Hundred Acre winery, this debut-release Pinot Noir is drawn from meticulously selected hillside vineyards ranging between 900 and 1900 feet above sea level, rooted uniquely in fine-grained, well-draining Goldridge sandy loam soils. Comprising an equal blend of Pommard and 777 clones and aged in premium tight-grained French oak barrels from the Vosges Forest, it uncoils with an expressive, highly perfumed bouquet of dark plums, black cherries, and sweet caramel, beautifully layered with undercurrents of bitter chocolate, wild forest flowers, and warm baking spices. On the palate, it delivers a full-bodied, remarkably rich, and succulent mouthfeel where a concentrated core of crushed raspberry and dark cherry fruits is balanced effortlessly by an energetic vein of natural acidity and waves of creamy, ultra-fine tannins. Seamlessly structured to carry its generous flavor profile without tasting hot, it glides into a long, ripe, and wonderfully savory finish that combines power and classic coastal tension.
Food Pairing:
Pairs spectacularly with roasted duck breast, grain-fed Chateaubriand steak, grilled wild boar chops, savory eel donburi, or pan-seared venison medallion.
James Suckling
A lovely red with plum, cherry and caramel character. Perfumed. Chocolate. Full-bodied and juicy with lots of fruity, creamy tannins. A ripe and savory finish. Solid. From the owner of Napa’s Hundred Acre winery.
