The Story
An exceptional, terroir-driven Portuguese white wine crafted by the legendary Herdade do Mouchão estate. Rebirth of a historical tradition, this 100% Verdelho is sourced from old vines grafted over 25-year-old Perrum roots situated near the cool banks of the estate's reservoir. The juice is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel before completing its primary fermentation in French oak barriques, followed by up to 9 months of maturation on its fine lees with regular battonage. It displays a bright lemon-green hue, offering an intensely aromatic nose of white flower blossoms, orange zest, and tropical pineapple, layered with fine minerals and subtle, integrated wood spice.
Food Pairing: Outstanding alongside rich seafood rice (Arroz de Peixe), grilled sea bass, garlic prawns, roasted white meats, or creamy Mediterranean tapas.
