The Story
An exceptional Spanish red wine crafted from a rigorous selection of low-yielding old vines averaging over 50 years of age in Rioja Alavesa. Aged for 24 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels followed by an additional 36 months of cellaring in the bottle, it reveals a brilliant ruby-red color with earthy tones. The nose displays immense finesse, showing a complex bouquet of concentrated black fruit jam, wild thyme, liquorice, and secondary layers of leather and tobacco leaf over a polished, fleshy, and beautifully structured palate with seamless tannins.
Food Pairing: Pairs phenomenally with traditional slow-roasted lamb, braised venison stews, premium grilled ribeye steaks, or a platter of aged artisan cheeses.
