The Story

The Luigi Bosca Paraiso 2019 is a bold, expressive, and fruit-forward New World red wine that perfectly captures the unique, high-altitude alpine spirit of Mendoza's prestigious Uco Valley growing regions during an exceptional, highly celebrated vintage. It pours a brilliant, bright and deep violet-red colour with intense purple reflections in the glass, lifting with an immediate, refreshing bouquet of cherries in kirsch, ripe plum, and wild red fruits, seamlessly layered with complex undertones of sweet tobacco spice, cracked black pepper, minerals, and damp earth. On the palate, this full-bodied red blend is remarkably smooth, juicy, and round, coating the mouth with pure, velvety intensities of dark stone fruits, chocolate shaving dust, and sweet tannins that balance the naturally robust, dense, and potent profile of the 2019 vintage. Post-fermentation, each variety is aged carefully for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels to maximize its structural depth and natural sophistication, driven by a finely balanced, food-friendly acidity and soft, polished noble tannins that carry into a clean, energetic finish accented by a long, persistent touch of vanilla and warm baking spice.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with casual or premium red meat fare, including prime cuts of grilled ribeye steak with rosemary rustic potatoes, wood-fired mushroom pizzas, slow-roasted lamb shanks, gourmet beef burgers, wild game stews, and hard or aged artisanal cheeses.
93 Points - James Suckling
Layered and complex nose, showing tobacco, dried meat and spice to the blackberries and glossy cassis. This is a powerful, full-bodied red, imbued with fine-grained tannins and juicy fruit. Long and tight. 77% malbec and 23% cabernet sauvignon. Drink from 2024.

93 Points - Wine Enthusiast

Red-berry aromas intertwined with spices show on the enticing nose of this blend of 71% Malbec and 29% Cabernet Sauvignon. It's fruit- focused, offering honest plum and cherry flavors. Hints of oak are well integrated. Vibrant acidity and moderate tannins makes the wine very approachable and elegant.
