The Story
Le Dragon de Quintus is the elegant second wine of Château Quintus, revealing aromas of black cherry, blackberry, cassis, violet, cedar, graphite, and subtle baking spice. Richly textured yet beautifully approachable, it delivers polished tannins, vibrant freshness, refined structure, and a long, graceful finish with classic Saint-Émilion character.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, mushroom risotto, braised short ribs, truffle potatoes, aged Comté, or roasted root vegetables.
93 Points - James Suckling
A delicious and fresh St.-Emilion with ripe blackberries and a subtle, mineral note that shows clearly on the long, crisp and juicy finish. Second wine of Château Quintus. Already friendly, but better from 2020.
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Dominated by Merlot, this is a richly perfumed, ripe and spicy wine. Soft tannins are balanced by plenty of acidity and blackberry fruit. It's full in structure, but still allows plenty of room for the fruit.
