The Story
La Storia Leo Old Vine Cuvée is a rich, robust, and beautifully structured proprietary red blend crafted by Trentadue Winery from their estate vineyards in Sonoma County. Named in honor of the estate's co-founder, Leo Trentadue, this expressive bottling leverages the depth and complexity of old-vine fruit. In the glass, it reveals a deep ruby to purple-black hue. The highly aromatic nose opens with intense notes of blackberry jam, ripe black cherries, and dark plums, seamlessly intertwined with complex nuances of baking spices, sweet vanilla, cocoa bean, and an earthy undertone. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, velvety, and exceptionally smooth, displaying excellent fluid coherence where its concentrated core of dark forest fruits is effortlessly supported by soft, melted tannins and a balanced line of natural acidity. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a lingering, decadent trail of toasted oak, dark chocolate, and subtle sweet spices.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with grilled prime ribeye steak, barbecue beef brisket, roasted lamb chops with rosemary, and mature hard cheeses like an aged white cheddar.
