The Story

This monumental, single-vineyard Barolo Riserva opens with an aristocratic and intensely layered bouquet of dried dark cherries, macerated plums, and wild cranberries, seamlessly interwoven with profound notes of black truffle, licorice, tar, dark spice, and iron-like minerality. On the full-bodied palate, it showcases incredible muscular power and a majestic, seamless architecture. A deeply concentrated core of dark savory fruit is brilliantly framed by tightly knit, velvety tannins and an electric regional acidity, carrying into an extraordinarily long, complex, and savory finish.

Food Pairing: A majestic companion for heavy gastronomy; pairs flawlessly with slow-braised beef short ribs, wild boar ragù, fresh egg tajarin shaved with white truffles, or mature, hard cheeses like Castelmagno.

94 Points - James Suckling

I like the depth of this Barolo Ravera. The nose is deep and intense, yet discreet, with aromas of graphite, tarry red berries, cinnamon, mineral and a fine twist of savory oranges. Dense and juicy on the palate, with impressive mineral tension and power, followed by a lengthy finish. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but better from 2024.
