The Story
G4 Reposado Tequila is an exceptional, additive-free 100% Blue Weber agave spirit crafted by master distiller Felipe Camarena at the famous El Pandillo distillery (NOM 1579) in Jesús María, Jalisco. This highland tequila is aged for at least six months in old American oak bourbon barrels that have been used for generations, allowing the wood to naturally complement rather than dominate the distillate. Built on traditional methods including a custom mechanical stone tahona crush and a 50/50 blend of natural spring water and captured rainwater, G4 Reposado beautifully strikes a delicate balance between vibrant, fresh agave notes and subtle, warm barrel characteristics.
Food Pairing: Grilled chicken fajitas, pork carnitas, carne asada tacos, semi-hard cheeses like Gouda or mild Cheddar, and grilled bell peppers.
TASTING NOTES - A pale, light straw gold with exceptional clarity and brilliant brightness. It offers a smooth, silky, and medium-to-full body that glides effortlessly across the palate without any artificial thickness.
NOSE - Dominant aromas of sweet cooked agave are perfectly integrated with hints of vanilla, light oak, and a touch of caramel, complexly rounded out by characteristic notes of white pepper and wet earth.
PALATE - Warm and highly complex, revealing forward flavors of sweet, roasted agave, buttery vanilla, and a gentle touch of cinnamon, supported nicely by citrus zest, minerality, and cracked black pepper.
FINISH - Long, smooth, and pleasantly dry with a lingering warmth that highlights clean oak notes, sweet cooked agave, and a spicy pop of black pepper.
SERVE - Best served neat at room temperature in a proper tequila nosing glass or a small spirits glass to let the subtle barrel aromas blossom. It also makes a magnificent, sophisticated twist on an Old Fashioned or a premium elevated Margarita.
