The Story

G4 Madera Blanco Tequila (specifically known as G4 Blanco de Madera) is an extraordinary, highly artisanal release from master distiller Felipe Camarena at El Pandillo (NOM 1579). Setting itself apart from the standard blanco, this special edition is fermented in custom-built pine wood vats (madera) rather than stainless steel tanks, using 100% deep well water. The wild yeast interacting with the wooden fermentation vessels imparts a rustic, complex, and intensely savory character to the spirit before it is double distilled in copper pot stills. This completely additive-free blanco represents a breathtaking blend of traditional highland heritage and innovative distilling craftsmanship.

Food Pairing: Grilled octopus with olive oil and sea salt, traditional pork carnitas, slow-roasted cochinita pibil, or rich artisanal cheeses like aged Manchego.

TASTING NOTES - Crystal clear, bright, and highly reflective. It offers a incredibly rich, textured, and creamy mouthfeel that carries a heavy, oily viscosity across the palate.

NOSE - An intense wave of sweet cooked agave, earthy clay, and distinct pine and damp wood notes, beautifully complexed by fresh rainwater, white pepper, and citrus oil.

PALATE - Bold, buttery, and exceptionally deep, bursting with caramelized cooked agave, rustic wood undertones, and wet stones, transitioning into layers of green olive, black pepper, and bright lime zest.

FINISH - Exceptionally long, robust, and clean, lingering with the sweetness of roasted agave, savory brine, and a warm, earthy, and peppery dryness.

SERVE - Best served neat at room temperature in a proper tequila tasting glass or a small spirits glass to fully explore its unique wood-fermented aromatics.
