The Story
Espolòn Reposado Tequila is a bold, award-winning 100% blue Weber agave tequila handcrafted in the Highlands of Jalisco. This expressive spirit is aged for a minimum of two months in lightly charred, new American oak barrels, a technique that gives it an inviting golden hue and a complex edge. The subtle barrel maturation softens the vibrant, spicy character of the original blanco tequila, layering in rich notes of caramel and baking spices while beautifully preserving the bright, pure agave flavor at its heart.
Food Pairing: Grilled pork carnitas, slow-cooked beef barbacoa, smoked gouda or pepper jack cheese, and churros with chocolate dipping sauce.
TASTING NOTES Bright, golden-honey in appearance with a smooth, velvety, and medium-bodied mouthfeel.
NOSE Warm and inviting, opening with rich cooked agave and sweet fudge, beautifully balanced by hints of tropical fruit, vanilla, and a touch of oak wood.
PALATE Rich and nicely balanced on the tongue, revealing dominant flavors of sweet roasted agave, creamy caramel, and toasted nuts, rounded out by hints of vanilla and baking spices like cinnamon.
FINISH Medium to long, clean, and dry with a warming trailing sensation of tropical fruit, sweet fudge, and a mild black pepper kick.
SERVE Excellent when sipped neat or on the rocks, and serves as an exceptional, character-forward base for a premium Paloma or an Oaxaca Old Fashioned.
