The Story

The 2022 vintage presented unexpected challenges that ultimately yielded an exceptional harvest of complex, cellar-worthy wines with remarkable structure and freshness. A chilly, damp spring gave way to concern when a late frost threatened lower vineyard parcels. Recovery came gradually as May temperatures climbed, with sustained warmth through summer encouraging robust vine development. Picking began September 19—nearly a month later than recent years—and benefited from cool nights and sunny days that ensured steady, quality fruit collection through October 21.

Food Pairing: Pairs perfectly with duck breast, roasted pork tenderloin, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, and earthy cheeses like Gruyère or Manchego.

93 Points - Wine  Spectator

Expressive cherry, huckleberry, black tea, and forest floor notes with refined tannins.

93 Points - Wine Enthusiast

Features aromatic strawberry jam, powdery lilac, and full-bodied flavors of blackberry and espresso, supported by brawny tannins.

91 Points - James Suckling

A smooth, full-bodied, and velvety wine with plum, dark cherry, dried blueberry, and mild oak spice notes.

90 Points - Jeb Dunnuck

Bright, medium-bodied wine with pomegranate, brambly herbs, and a savory orange citrus finish.
