The Story

Château Larose-Trintaudon 2011 is an elegant, traditionally styled, and beautifully matured Cru Bourgeois red wine that perfectly captures the classic character of Bordeaux's Left Bank from a cooler vintage. Pouring a clear garnet-ruby with gentle amber reflections at the rim, this classic blend opens with an expressive, savory bouquet of red currants, dried tobacco leaves, pencil shavings, and crushed graphite, accented by subtle hints of sweet baking spices and earthy forest floor. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, linear, and remarkably balanced. A soft core of savory dark plums and dried cherries is framed by fine-grained, fully integrated tannins and a persistent vein of fresh natural acidity. Having aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, this smooth, food-friendly claret concludes with a clean, dry, and pleasantly cedar-laced finish that showcases the refinement of matured Haut-Médoc terroir.

Food Pairing: Pairs perfectly with classic braised beef short ribs, roasted duck breast, herb-crusted rack of lamb, or simple wood-fired burgers.
