Deep plum-purple in color, it displays the unmistakable nobility of the estate with aromas of sweet and sour cherries, blackcurrants, licorice, smoke and crushed stone. Medium-bodied with excellent purity, firm tannins and a structured, angular finish, it rewards patience and develops increasing complexity with bottle age. Anticipated maturity: 2009–2020+.
