The Story

A beautifully mature Barsac with aromas of apricot, honey, marmalade, orange peel, toasted almonds, and saffron. Rich yet perfectly balanced, vibrant acidity and luxurious sweetness create exceptional complexity with a remarkably long, elegant finish.

Food Pairing: Pair with foie gras, blue cheese, fruit tarts, crème brûlée, roasted peaches, or lightly spiced Asian cuisine.

94 Points - James Suckling

Pure ripe orange peel and apricot. Some caramel and vanilla. This Sauternes is really pure and elegant. Luscious wonderfully focused fruit on the palate with great focus and balance. Elegant and charming. Structured. Best in years from here. Drink now or hold.

91 Points - Wine Spectator

A fresh, lively style, featuring a dacquoise streak offset by bouncy pineapple, white peach and creamed melon flavors. Long and enticing through the finish, showing nice cut for the vintage. Best from 2015 through 2025. 3,300 cases made.

88 Points - Wine Enthusiast

This is a wine with a strong botrytis element that adds dryness to honey flavors. Intense acidity cuts through the ripe fruit flavors. It still needs to integrate, so don't drink before 2018.
