The Story
Chateau Cap De Faugeres La Mouleyre 2016 is a single-vineyard Bordeaux blend from Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux, crafted from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grown on limestone soils. Aged in French oak, it delivers concentrated black fruit, graphite, spice, and refined tannins with impressive depth and a long, elegant finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with grilled ribeye, roast lamb, venison, duck confit, mushroom dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
93 Points - James Suckling
This has good, aromatic clarity on the nose with a wealth of ripe dark plums and a fresh-earth thread. The palate has very attractive depth and presence with ripe dark-plum flavors, holding long and even. Try from 2022.
