The Story

Bruichladdich 18 Year Old is a highly anticipated addition to the distillery's "Luxury Redefined" core range, crafted entirely from fully traceable Islay, organic, and Scottish mainland barley. Bottled at a robust 50% ABV with no chill filtration or added color, this unpeated Islay single malt is matured primarily in ex-bourbon casks alongside a small, careful selection of ex-Sauternes and ex-Port wine casks. The result is a beautifully complex, honeyed, and fruit-forward dram. It presents inviting aromas of ripe peach, honeysuckle, vanilla, and toasted coconut. The palate is wonderfully rich and viscous, delivering waves of butterscotch, tropical fruits, lemon curd, and sweet barley sugar, culminating in a long, elegant finish accented by subtle warming spices and the distillery's signature coastal minerality.

Food Pairing: Pan-seared scallops, roasted chicken with apricot glaze, mild creamy cheeses like brie, and desserts such as vanilla bean panna cotta or peach cobbler.
