The Story
Blason D'Issan is the second wine of Chateau d'Issan, crafted from estate vineyards in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. Produced with the same attention to detail as the Grand Vin, it offers expressive dark berry fruit, refined structure, and elegant tannins that reflect the character of its prestigious terroir.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with grilled lamb, roast beef, duck breast, mushroom dishes, aged hard cheeses, and herb-roasted poultry.
94 Points - Jeb Dunnuck
Blackberry, blueberry, graphite, clove, tobacco and mahogany on the nose. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Very tight and refined with a mineral finish. Pretty finesse and focus. Second wine. Better from 2024.
94 Points - James Suckling

90 Points - Decanter
With a lot of upfront tannic bite, this definitely benefits from five minutes in the glass to show the cassis and charcoal notes. A bitter dark chocolate washes over the finish, again showing that these are big tannins. Drinking Window 2023 - 2036
