The Story

Produced from old-vine Tempranillo grown in some of Ribera del Duero's highest-altitude vineyards, Bardos Viñedos de Altura 2020 delivers remarkable concentration and freshness. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry, violet, cedar, and baking spice lead to a rich yet balanced palate with ripe dark fruit, polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long mineral-driven finish. The high-elevation vineyards contribute elegance and freshness while maintaining the depth and power expected from Ribera del Duero.

Food Pairing: Pair with grilled lamb chops, roast beef, Iberian pork, manchego cheese, mushroom risotto, and hearty Spanish dishes.

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast

Deep violet-red to the eye, with aromas of blackberry, clove and fennel bulb. Notes of dark chocolate and purple plum fill the palate alongside bold tannins and flavors of black cherry, mint, licorice and caramel. A lingering floral note persists on the finish.

91 Points - James Suckling

Pretty nose of black cherries, black plums, mocha, cedar and chocolate hazelnuts. Full-bodied with firm, polished tannins. Structured yet approachable. Vegan. Drink or hold.
