The Story
Antigal Uno Chardonnay 2025 is a vibrant, fresh, and beautifully balanced Argentine white wine produced by the historically restored Antigal Winery & Estates. Sourced from estate vineyards planted at optimal altitudes in Mendoza's premier growing regions, including Primera Zona and the cool Uco Valley, the hand-harvested grapes undergo careful cold-storage and gentle pressing. To maximize fruit character and texture, fermentation takes place primarily in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, while 10% is aged in used French oak followed by extended time on its lees without malolactic fermentation. In the glass, it displays a bright, pale chartreuse color with delicate golden highlights. The expressive aromatic bouquet opens with alluring notes of pineapple, mango, wild guava, and passionfruit, layered over ripe orchard fruits like sliced pear and crisp green apple with a touch of vanilla and a hint of seashell. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, smooth, and elegant, delivering a generous, creamy core of tropical and stone fruits that is perfectly lifted by a cleansing, mouthwatering acidity and a refreshing citrus finish.
Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with herb-roasted turkey, creamy lemon-butter chicken, grilled prawns, seared scallops, and soft cheeses like brie or goat cheese.
