The Story

A deeply expressive and explosive single-vineyard Barbaresco that beautifully frames the volume of the historic Cottà site. It opens with highly resonant, heady aromas of dark red cherries, plums, lavender, and red rose petals, laced with delicate layers of earth, strawberries, and sweet kitchen spices. On the palate, it delivers a medium-to-full-bodied texture showing great concentration and depth. Balanced expertly by a ripe, fresh acidity and silky, fine-grained tannins, it transitions into a long, dusty finish highlighted by elegant floral and citrus aftertastes.

Food Pairing: Tajarin with white truffles, slow-braised veal shank, wild mushroom risotto, and mature cheeses.

94 Points - James Suckling

An elegant and restrained wine with aromas of rhubarb, earth, strawberries and sweet spices. Medium-bodied on the palate, showing silky tannins and a dusty finish that’s ripe and fresh. Good floral and citrus aftertaste. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.

92 Points - Wine Spectator

Delicate aromas and flavors of rose, strawberry and cherry permeate this graceful, silky red. Builds to the firm finish, where eucalyptus and mint accents chime in. Shows fine balance and length. Best from 2028 through 2039. 150 cases made, 40 cases imported.
